Jacksonville, FL — Wednesday Night Lights at Dave & Buster’s.
SOUTHSIDE— On Wednesday night, Brendan Roberts, shortstop #2 for the Ancient City Reds, once again proved that competition never stops — even off the field.
At the Jacksonville Dave & Buster’s Game and Sports Bar, Roberts broke his own Hyper Pitch world record, scoring an unbelievable 8,543 points on the baseball arcade game. The previous record, 8,435 points, was also set by Roberts a few months earlier.

⚾️ The Record-Breaking Run
Hyper Pitch measures both velocity and accuracy — and Roberts nailed both. His three throws registered:
- 91.1 mph
- 89.9 mph
- 90.1 mph
Each pitch landed dead center in the bullseye’s 32× multiplier zone — three in a row. That perfect combination of speed and precision generated the 8,543-point total, officially setting a new all-time best score on record.

Each of the scores from Roberts’ round. Please note the bottom total score is broken. Add them up on a calculator for the score, which was 8543.
The in-game radar might not be MLB-calibrated, but the performance itself was anything but casual. The odds of hitting three bullseyes in consecutive throws with that kind of velocity are incredibly rare — a perfect sequence by every metric.
