The Ancient City Reds were a youth baseball program based in St. Augustine, Florida, built on the belief that culture matters as much as competition.
Founded as a small rec-based team in Spring 2024, this specific group competed from 11U through 13U, growing rapidly into one of the most respected teams in the region through discipline, preparation, and an unwavering commitment to playing the game the right way.
From the beginning, the Reds emphasized:
- Brotherhood and accountability
- High baseball IQ
- Competitive toughness without ego
- Respect for the game, teammates, and opponents
Over four seasons (Spring 2024 – Fall 2025), the Ancient City Reds competed across Florida and beyond, earning championship hardware, national runner-up finishes, and a reputation for being prepared, hard-nosed, and unified.
The program officially concluded operations on December 15, 2025, following the USSSA Winter Nationals at the USSSA Space Coast Complex.
While the organization has closed, its impact has not.
Many former Reds have moved on to compete at the Perfect Game Majors level with Florida Wolfpack 13U, while others continue their baseball journeys with organizations throughout Northeast Florida.
The Ancient City Reds will remain remembered not for a logo or a record, but for a standard — one built on trust, effort, and the belief that how you play the game matters.
If you wore the jersey, you are forever part of its history.
